HCMC - Oct 05-2013 - After a week of preparing charity trip, the date is finally coming. With 30’ driving from GIBC office, Dieu Phap pagoda locating along the Saigon river stands peacefully before 14 members of team. And opposite the pagoda’s entrance is the shelter which is nurturing 42 lonely elders.
Welcoming the team is Ms. Mai who mainly takes care of this shelter. On behalf of Dieu Phap, she would like to say thank to the valuable donation of GIBC, Green Hat,Suntory Pepsi and Hong Phu Foods. Besides donation in goods, with 5,000,000 VND received, the shelters can be prepared 10 meals for the elders or used for their health checks”, Ms. Mai shares more.
Then, team visited to each room for giving small gifts to elders (Vinamilk, O-long Tea Plus & Chocopie). Looking their face, we can see how much they like the gifts, especially O-long Tea Plus because this is the first time they have drunk this beverage. Le Thi Thanh (86 years old) immediately drinks two bottles due to the strange & delicious taste of tea.
