HCMC - Jan 18 - 2014 - In the cool air of the day in mid January, GIBC staff with Ms. Minh Phuong and Ms. Thu Thao - representatives of Green Hat visited Tam Ducshelters - Linh Son Pagoda (Dist 4), starting the CSR program of Young GIBC in 2014.
Having only an area of 72m2 and 9 nurses, the shelter has brought up 43 children, from new born to 3 years old, who were abandoned in hospitals or at the pagoda’s door. Looking at those chubby and lovely faces, we cannot help but feel so pitiful for those kids here. We can see the joy reflects in their eyes while we were playingpeekaboo with them. Those eyes also were filled with tears when we had to say goodbye.
The trip gave us many emotions, and all of us wish the less fortunate kids of the shelters would meet with luck and happiness in life.
After one week of raising donation, GIBC staff and friends contributed to the shelter about 24 million Vietnam Dong in cash and in goods. GIBC would like to express our gratitude to Truong Loc Group, Suntory PepsiCo and Green Hat. They are our partners who always accompany with GIBC in all of our CSR events and contribute a lot to the success of each trip.
